Full details
The Mouratoglou Academy sits on the French Riviera near Biot, about 20 minutes from Nice, and it is not an ordinary tennis camp. This is the place where Serena Williams trained. Where Stefanos Tsitsipas and Alex de Minaur have walked the courts. Where Patrick Mouratoglou — arguably the most influential coach in professional tennis for the past decade — has spent thirty years building a methodology that has shaped some of the sport's most successful careers. The half-day mornings camp brings your child into that environment for a week, without the full-day intensity of the residential programme.
The format runs Monday to Saturday morning, from 8am to 11:15am. Each session opens with a 15-minute warm-up covering mobility, light cardio, and stretching, followed by 90 minutes of tennis training in groups of four per court — small enough to be genuinely personalised, large enough to feel like a team. The final 90 minutes switch to physical conditioning led by trainers certified in the Mouratoglou methodology. It is a morning that mirrors, at an age-appropriate level, the structure of a professional training day.
What Mouratoglou does differently from most junior camps is the grouping. Every child is assessed on the first day and placed in a group calibrated to their actual level, not their age or what their parents put on the registration form. A ten-year-old who can really play will be with other players who can really play. A recreational player will be in a group where the coaching makes sense for where they are. The afternoon is entirely free, which makes the programme work well as a complement to a family holiday on the Riviera rather than an intensive residential commitment.
The campus is exceptional by any measure. Thirty-three courts across hard and clay surfaces, a four-star resort, a medical and sports centre, a spa, and swimming pools — all within a setting that has the specific quality of a place built for athletic excellence. The optional add-ons are worth considering for any child who wants more: individual coaching sessions for accelerated progress, a physical assessment with massage at the medical centre, or the Boost Mental programme, which includes player profile analysis and a debriefing on areas for development.
Accommodation is not included in the base price but can be added during booking, with the choice of a room at the four-star Mouratoglou Hotel and Resort (if accompanied by an adult) or the Academy boarding school.
